Blind Cane
The same pattern is achieved as in hole caning, but the holes are not drilled all the way through to the underside/back of the piece. Blind caning takes a lot more time and experience. Each piece of cane has to be cut to size and woven from the start hole to the finish hole. Then a small amount of glue is placed in both holes and pegged 'til dry, then on to the next two holes, until the stage is complete. This method is continued until all stages are complete. Very difficult method of caning.
